Sunset Studios is a new company which provides space for film, television or musical productions. Situated in Henderson, West Auckland, Sunset provides a 130m2 studio available for small to medium size productions.

Sound quality is a vital aspect of studio filming, and as such, Shane Toon was tasked with the mission of making the studio as sound friendly as possible!

The walls were covered in Bradford 50mm Ultratel sound absorbing panels with black facing (as not to affect lighting) and the ceiling with 25mm Ultratel with the edges enhanced with Autex baffle block. Because of these products ultra sound absorbing properties, there is close to zero sound reverberation, making it an ideal environment for audio recording.

The office is sound proofed in a 25mm synthetic material (Pyrotek Sorbertex) which can be used as either a control room or as a vocal booth.
