The redevelopment of Wakefield Hospital in Wellington, provided the opportunity for Pacific Radiology to relocate from their long established but well worn tenancy space into a brand new fit out, within the new hospital building.
Totem Studio was privileged to partner with PRG once more in this brand new flagship branch for the Wellington region. The new branch was to provide, Ultrasound, X-ray, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, CT and MRI services, whilst also presenting a calm uplifting and memorable patient experience.
The design clearly presents the contemporary and high quality identity we have worked with Pacific Radiology to establish for them in their other branches. Each branch has its own personality, with the Wakefield branch tapping into its local identity of Pacific, New Zealand and Wellington culture, whilst providing a modern functional healthcare environment, that has a quality of atmosphere that is a cut above.
Austratus Timber Ceilings fitted the brief and were used in the waiting room and the sub wait areas that have been custom designed by Totem Studio Architects. To complete the project Potters C Series aluminium partitions were used in the consultation and meeting rooms, along with a range of
AMF Thermatex Acoustic & AMF Thermatex HD35 ceiling tiles and grid for their smooth, elegant finish and high acoustic properties.
